Meditation

“Your true home is in the here and now.  It is not limited by time, space, nationality, religion or race.  This is something you can touch and live in every moment.  With one breath, you are already there, already home.”
– Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh

Learn and practice the art of mindfulness meditation in a supportive group.  We offer weekly practice groups.   Donations (Dana) are gratefully accepted for the teacher and to the Community of Christ Church for offering the space.

Tuesdays, 1-2:30pm,
Facilitated by Vickie MacArthur
While inspired by the universal truth of the Buddhist teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, we are an inclusive group open to people of all faiths and traditions.  We practice different forms of mindfulness meditation including traditional sitting meditation, walking meditation, and deep relaxation.
This fall we will be inspired by “The Book of Joy”, a conversation between Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and His Holiness the Dalai Lama on how to find joy in the midst of suffering, from both a Christian and Buddhist perspective.
