Summer Mornings of Mindfulness

Wednesdays, July 16 & August 20
9:30 - 11:30am, Lethbridge river bottom

Join our Dawning Light Sangha meditation group as we spend a morning of mindful awareness together in the beautiful surroundings of our Lethbridge river bottom.

We all know that spending time outside in nature is healing to our bodies, our minds, our souls. We will explore meditation practices to help ground and resource us for difficult times: gentle yoga, sitting and walking meditation, and forest bathing, and river wading!

All are welcome.

“Just listen to the rain……
Meditation teaches us to be open, not only with our ears, but with our eyes, with our whole body, and with our heart."

---Thich Nhat Hanh

Join Vickie and the Dawning Light Sangha for a morning of practice together. Learn simple meditation practices to calm the body and clear the mind. Share in a welcoming and inclusive community to learn and support your meditation practice.

While inspired by the universal truth of the Buddhist teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, we are an inclusive group open to people of all faiths and traditions. We practice sitting meditation, walking meditation, breathing practices and deep relaxation. We also provide time for connecting and sharing together, to help foster community. Meditation is offered free of charge from the generosity of our hearts. However, in the Buddhist spirit of “dana”, please feel free to contribute as you are able to support the Dawning Light Sangha and the Buddhist Temple of Southern Alberta.
