Female Yoga Students needed for Research Project

April 30th, 2010

Volunteer students are needed for a research project at the University of Lethbridge.  They are looking for menopausal women who regularly practice yoga (for at least a year) between the ages of 45 and 60, who are willing to have blood and salivary samples taken before and after two sessions, one in which you will do yoga and one in which you will read quietly.  These samples are used to assess the effects of yoga on hormones associated with a stress response.  This project is part of Moving Through Menopause, a study on physical activity and women’s health.

For more info, please leave a message with your name, number, and best time to call at the University of Lethbridge Exercise Physiology lab at 403-317-5073 or email jennifer.copeland@uleth.ca
